# What is Pena Coin?

Pena Coin is the platform virtual currency of Penana. It is currently used in author publication sponsorships, creative writing contests, and other functions.

**Pena Coin's Functions:**&#x20;

1. Activate Publication Subscription Plan&#x20;
2. Creative Writing Contests time setting/extension&#x20;
3. Bounty Pool Contribution Creative writing contests&#x20;
4. Author Publication Sponsorships

Pena Coin’s application will be further developed to new Penana services and features in the future.

Pena Coin’s value is pegged to HKD at a ratio of 100:1 **(100 Pena Coins = 1 HKD or any currency equivalent)** to ensure a stable value. Authors need not worry about its fluctuation and can just keep on creating stories!

Pena Coins are discounted if you purchase in bulk!
